For many of you, the trees have shed their leaves and now extend their branches to welcome the coming snowflakes. Winter makes a great excuse to cuddle in front of the fireplace with a good book and a mug of hot cocoa. While some of us are still going to the beach! Hey, whatever gets you in the holiday spirit. Whether you celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, something else, or nothing at all, we wish you season's greetings.

Problem Solver

Harsh sunlight; new undesirable views: Now that deciduous trees around your home or office have dropped their leaves, you might have a new awesome view or a new undesirable view. Moreover, with natural shade gone, you might end up with harsh, blinding sunlight. Any of our "Wallpaper" For Windows!™ products can resolve both issues, and with flexibility.

Wallpaper For Windows Everleaf PrivacyIf you want to create full privacy but allow the maximum amount of light to shine through, select a design from our Frosted or Privacy collections. With our Everleaf Privacy (shown in photo), you can even add leaves to your windows!

Unlike those other tricky, adhesive window films, all "Wallpaper" For Windows!™ products can be as easily removed as they can be applied. Once spring has sprung, you can remove the static cling film and reapply it to its original backing paper for reuse later.

Of course, you might just love it so much, you will keep it up year-round, for years and years to come. And, hey, that's quite okay with us!

Crafty Corner

Wallpaper For Windows placematsLooking for homemade holiday gift ideas? How about stained glass suncatchers!

To make the suncatchers, you will need the following items:

  • Faux stained glass window film
  • Picture frame with glass or plexiglass insert
  • Frame hardware: eyescrews and string or wire
  • Scissors or straight blade
  • Hot glue gun of other glue material
  • Paper towel

Making the suncatchers really is as easy as attaching the window film to the frame glass, securing the glass, adding a frame hanger, and enjoying. But, here are the instructions broken out into baby steps (and with photos), particularly helpful for children.

  1. Remove backing and glass from picture frame, and decorate frame as desired.
  2. Position glass over front of stained glass window film to select a framed area.
  3. Trace around glass to give yourself a cutting outline.
  4. Cut out window film.
  5. Remove backing paper from window film and lay window film aside on clean, dry surface.
  6. Spray frame glass with water and affix window film to surface of glass.
  7. Squeegee out all air bubbles and excess water.
  8. Wipe the decorated glass free of any excess water.
  9. Glue decorated glass to frame, window film side up (away from glue), by running a bead of glue along the inside ledge of picture frame where the glass sits. (TIP: If using a hot glue gun, you must work quickly as glue dries fast.)
  10. Hold glass in place for a few seconds to allow glue to adhere, and let dry completely.
  11. Attach support clips to back of frame to better secure glass in place.
  12. Attach eye screws or picture framing hardware to top corners, and thread with hanging wire.
  13. Hang in front of sunny window and enjoy!

Suncatchers are a great, crafty way to repurpose thrift shop picture frames and stained glass window film scraps.
