Stop Birds From Flying into Windows with Wallpaper For Windows

The flowers are in bloom, and the birds are singing spring is here and summer is upon us.
Wallpaper For Windows wants to make sure those birds get to keep singing, as it is also the time of year when thousands of birds such as Cardinals and Robins peck at or crash into windows and injure themselves or worse.

The reason why this happens is Cardinals and Robins are very territorial birds.
When birds see another of the same species in it’s breeding or feeding territory, it instinctively attacks the other bird.

Your windows act as a mirror. When birds are close enough to see their own reflection, they interpret this as an intruder and begin attacking or pecking at the window to chase the intruder away. They also cannot differentiate the reflection of trees or the blue sky and fly right into the windows.

Here are a couple of things that can be done to stop this from happening.

· Use any of the adhesive-free films from Wallpaper For Windows to decrease the reflectivity of your windows or glass doors by placing the removable film on the outside of the window. When the season is over, just peel it off; place it back on the backing paper and store till needed next season.

· If you’re a bird watcher and feed birds, consider moving your feeders further away from windows.

· Hang plants, streamers, wind chimes, or other objects outside the window.
